Theater should be accessible to everyone. For Gloria Minnich, that philosophy sits at the core of Kitchen Sink Theatre, a local organization devoted to making theater available and fun for audiences of all abilities and communication levels.
As part of the Allen County Bicentennial celebrations, more than a dozen area artists have created work that will be displayed in communities across the county. Artists selected for the appI Am Allenapp sculpture project have painted 15 fiberglass pieces. Each is 7 feet wide, 3 feet deep and nearly 7 feet tall.
Work was expected to begin in June 2024 on a $40 million renovation project to expand and modernize the 50-year-old performing arts venue downtown. The Arts United Center renovations are expected to take 15 to 18 months to complete.
