Heavy snowfall and numbing temperatures have put parts of the U.S. in a deep freeze as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend comes to a close. Some snowmobilers and skiers are reveling in the wintry conditions, while flinty fans are preparing for an NFL Sunday night game in Buffalo. The U.S. military°®¶¹app™s Fort Drum, near hard-hit Watertown, New York, issued an alert saying up to 19 inches of snow could fall Sunday. Commercial vehicles are banned in both directions of I-90 in western New York along a nearly 134-mile stretch to the Pennsylvania line. One woman recounted being stuck in her car overnight in Pennsylvania with children.

Forecasters in the U.S. have warned of another round of winter weather that could complicate travel leading up to Thanksgiving. California is bracing for more snow and rain while still grappling with some flooding and small landslides from a previous storm. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for California's Sierra Nevada through Tuesday, with heavy snow expected at high elevations. Thousands remained without power in the Seattle area on Sunday after a °®¶¹appœbomb cyclone°®¶¹app storm system hit the West Coast last week, killing two people.
